In Brief:
- According to Solana Mobile, upwards of 50% of the SKR handed out in Seeker Summer Round 1 ended up staked instead of being transferred or sold.
- A total of 25 million SKR went out in Round 1 across tiers of 1,000, 2,000 and 3,000 tokens; claiming began July 17 at 4 p.m. UTC and stays open for 30 days.
- That figure edges past the roughly 49% of Season 1 claimants staking in late January, back when SKR launched.
Solana Mobile disclosed via a post on its Seeker account that the majority of SKR sent to Seeker Summer Round 1 participants was put into staking.
“Over 50% of Seeker Summer Round 1 SKR airdrops were staked,” the company wrote. No token totals, wallet totals or tier-by-tier breakdown accompanied the claim.

Circulation grew by 25 million SKR through Round 1. The claim process went live July 17 at 4 p.m. UTC inside the Seed Vault Wallet’s Activity Tracking tab, and recipients have 30 days to act — one-third of the 90-day runway Season 1 recipients were given.
Distribution followed three tiers: 1,000 SKR, 2,000 SKR and 3,000 SKR. Staking becomes available the moment tokens are claimed.
Compared with January
Season 1 operated on an entirely different scale. Solana Mobile distributed 1.819 billion SKR on Jan. 21 to 100,908 users spread over five tiers, from Scout at 5,000 SKR up to Sovereign at 750,000 SKR. On top of that, 141,030,000 SKR went to 188 developers who had shipped to the Solana dApp Store. Claiming ended April 20, with anything left unclaimed returning to the airdrop pool.
Staking participation among Seeker owners who had claimed passed 49% by late January. Throughout the launch period, roughly 3.6 billion SKR — around 64% of circulating supply — was staked.
Where the tokens go
SKR that gets staked is delegated to Guardians, the node operators responsible for verifying Seeker hardware and reviewing dApp Store submissions. Holders who stake to a Guardian elect it, and those stakers also vote on economic parameters and how ecosystem funds are spent.
The first Guardian is operated by Solana Mobile itself at 0% commission. Helius, DoubleZero, Anza, Triton and Jito are lined up to come online as additional Guardians before the year is out.
Inflation funds the rewards, which are paid every 48 hours and compound on their own. A two-day epoch governs the system, and unstaking triggers a 48-hour cooldown. Inflation began at 10% annually at TGE and falls by 25% each year until reaching a 2% floor.
Returns have narrowed in step. January’s staking APY sat close to 28%; by April it had slid to about 19%.
How Round 1 worked
Season 2’s Seeker Summer campaign spans July 7 to Aug. 30, split into four two-week rounds featuring four apps apiece — 16 altogether. Each app comes with two quests, and finishing one yields a badge marked with the app name, the quest and the date, kept in the dApp Store as well as the wallet’s Activity Tracking tab.
TokenRun kicked off Round 1 on July 7, a location-based treasure hunt from GEODNET built specifically for the Seeker. Its two quests were Strike Gold — locate and open a chest — and Buried Treasure, which sent players to a hex on the map to dig up a message. Leaving a message buried for others to find earned nothing toward the badge.
Moonwalk Fitness opened Round 2 on July 20. To complete its “Fuel Up” quest, players must deposit 100 MF tokens via the Seed Vault Wallet before July 28 and turn them into in-app credits. Owning a Seeker also grants a 20% experience point bonus within the app. Back in October 2024, Moonwalk closed a $3.4 million seed round backed by investors such as Hack VC and Binance Labs.
Supply and price
Total SKR supply is capped at 10 billion. The allocation gives 30% to airdrops, 25% to growth and partnerships, 10% to liquidity and launch activity and 10% to the community treasury, while Solana Mobile keeps 15% and Solana Labs 10%. Circulating supply is a bit over half the total, roughly 5.7 billion tokens.
Trading began at $0.06 on Jan. 21 before dropping to $0.04 amid selling from recipients. The price sat around $0.045 on Jan. 22, $0.020 in March, $0.016 in May and roughly $0.014 as June opened.
Separately, Solana Mobile has knocked 20% off the $500 Seeker until Aug. 30 using the CARDS20 code through Solana Pay, limited to 5,000 units, with early buyers also receiving a complimentary $50 Collector Crypt pack.
